Will Insley (1929-2011) is a 20th century visionary conceptual artist who dedicated his life to creating artworks based on a mythological city entitled ONECITY.
/Building/ No. 17, Passage Space Spiral is one of fifty abstract /buildings/ which Insley realized to exist beyond the gates of the central ONECITY structure. The abstract /buildings/ are a blend of nature and abstract architecture, existing as religious structures that question how we perceive the horizon line. /Building/ No. 17 was the highlight of Insley's solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, NY in 1971.
