Bob Adelman (1930-2016) is an American photographer who captured historic and artistic photographs for over sixty years, covering subjects ranging from the Civil Rights Movement to the New York art scene, urban culture, social essays, politics, music and more.
Here, Warhol is captured with two of his many ‘Flower’ paintings, which first debuted at Leo Castelli Gallery in the 1960s.
During the 1960s, Bob Adleman spent extensive time in Andy Warhol's Factory, photographing Andy on his red couch, in the foil covered factory rooms, and with silkscreens of Marilyn, Liz, Elvis, and more.
