    Bob Adelman (1930-2016) is an American photographer who captured historic and artistic photographs for over sixty years, covering subjects ranging from the Civil Rights Movement to the New York art scene, urban culture, social essays, politics, music and more.                 
                       
    This iconic image of Andy Warhol in his Breton shirt represents Warhol's style in 1965 when he was making films in The Factory.  

     

    During the 1960s, Bob Adelman spent extensive time in Andy Warhol's Factory, photographing Andy on his red couch, in the foil covered factory rooms, and with silkscreens of Marilyn, Liz, Elvis, and more.
